MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD
Er. M. Thirumal B.Tech., M.Tech.
AP(SG) and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering
On behalf of the Management, Principal, faculty and students of our esteemed institution, I
welcome you to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical engineering is a
professional programme that helps students to understand the working mechanisms of heavy
tools and machineries.
Mechanical engineering is a diverse subject that derives its breadth from the need to design and manufacture everything from small individual parts and devices (e.g., micro scale sensors and inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (e.g., spacecraft and machine tools). The role of a mechanical engineer is to develop a product from a provoking idea to the competitive market. The inbuilt Qualities of Mechanical Engineers are Creativity for new innovations, Listening skill, Math skill, Mechanical skill and Problem-solving skill. The faculties of our department teach beyond the syllabus.
Following our institution’s, Mantra “EARN WHILE LEARN & LEARN WHILE EARN”, we offer great opportunities of internship and very good placement for the students. The internship in leading companies leads students to build their self confidence and also gives an income which serves as a moral support. This makes the parents to trust the students and relieve themselves from uncertainties.
The students are practiced to follow the secret “Individuality” from the beginning of the course followed by consistent monitor and support by our faculty until they finish the course as a Mechanical Engineer. On this note, I wish to quote “I am a Mechanical Techie. I can build things with my hands”. Join us, learn things and create your own world.
I once again welcome you all to the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
