Achariya College of Engineering Technology– A temple of learning, is an ISO certified Institution was founded by the great Educationalist and Philanthropist, Tr. J . Arawindhan. The main objective of college is to advance the knowledge-based Engineering Professions and to Influence the future directions of Engineering Education and Practice.
ACET – Best Engineering College in Pondicherry. We believe not only in Educating the students, but also in Grooming characters, with Moral and Ethical values to build the Nation. Since Inception, the college has been providing World-Class facilities & Infrastructure in Education and Learning. The emphasis is on Transformational Leadership rather than Directional Leadership. We aim to establish new Trends, Introduce Innovative training methodologies, and guide students towards the road to success.
History
The founding group ACHARIYA World Class Educational Institutions had its humble beginnings more than a decade ago by the launch of The ACHARIYA Teacher Education Academy and ACHARIYA College of Education in the year 2000. This was followed by the starting of the ACHARIYA Siksha Mandir and gradually classes were added. In the year 2001 ACHARIYA Bala Siksha Mandir was Inaugurated at Thengaithittu Campus and its satellite branches were started at various places in Puducherry.

In this 21st century Education and Learning should meet the Competitive development in job market. ACHARIYA keeps updating the Teaching and Learning methodology to meet the demand of the Industry. This special arrangement made various Industries specific to the Skill Development beyond the campus. Experience and Exposure gives very good personal development for the students, the hands on experience in Learning what Engineering is all about in this Global Competition.

Founder & Chief Mentor
The Visionary Journey
Dr. J. Arawindhan had completed his engineering in mechanical stream and with the sheer determination and being the visionary he is, started a B-Ed college in Puducherry by the year 1998 under the brand name “Achariya” which means “Guru”. Immediately thereafter he started a matriculation school for the benefit of his B-Ed college students to experience live teaching.
From then till now the growth he has attained is formidable. Achariya Group with the leadership of Dr. J. Arawindhan as the founder / Chief Mentor and Managing Director, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year has 35 schools on K12 level with State Board, CBSE and ICSE curriculum and a proprietary MiWay learning pedagogy based on Multiple Intelligence, an Engineering, Arts and a Catering College under its institutional vertical. The group also encompasses private initiatives on competitive examination coaching, wow schooling, publishing house, e-commerce initiatives on educational aids, Ed tech platforms, Entrepreneurship initiatives and incubation centres, Language support initiatives etc.
He is also an ardent follower on brain development and right brain education techniques for children and is the national master franchise holder of the global right brain education brand “HEGURU” where he has set up more than 10 centres already at Chennai, Puducherry, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, to empower children on right brain education.
Being a serial entrepreneur, he has ventured into food and hospitality segment apart from education where he runs a chain of café by name Hope Café, a cheese manufacturing unit by name Le Pondy Cheese, a global industry on mosquito repellents, an amusement part and couple of resorts.
